I know he will put them thru  everything Alberta has to offer this fall and update us with more comments as the bowhunting season gets under way.
Shannons Review:

Bison Wolverine Gore-Tex Boots

When Pete asked me which Wolverine boots I was interested in trying out, I had to go with the Bison Non-Insulated Waterproof 8 inch sport boot.  I already had other Gore-tex hunting boots but they all had thinsulate insulation which is too warm in the summer months when I start scouting for elk and moose.

They are made of splite suede and 1000-900 denier nylon with rubber lug outsole and a nylon shank.  The splite suede is a chocolate brown and the nylon is Realtree camouflage.  They have 10 speed hooks and a large tongue that folds in perfectly every time, with no bunching that creates hot spots.  It also has 18 soft rubber cleats which gives excellent traction in the mud or on wet rock.

I have hiked about 40km wearing these boots and found that they are light weight with good ankle support.  They grip on to muddy hills very well and the gore-tex keeps the water out and my feet dry.  I was surprised how well they breathe because on hot days, my feet wouldn’t even sweat.  After one day of wear, the boots were broken in and have been comfortable on my feet ever since.

I will be wearing the Bison boots during early season elk.  Chasing elk for 15 miles a day is not unusual for me and I have great faith in these boots to keep my feet dry and comfortable.  I will be updating this review after the 2005 hunting season.  Good luck and great hunting.
