The readings are easily seen in the viewfinder while you are aligning the split image with the focus wheel. Calibration is easily done by the owner and takes only minutes to do. This is not normally needed unless the unit has been dropped or severely jarred. The test unit I received came with a soft camo case that attaches to your belt for quick access. The cover flap is held in place with an elastic strap that is totally silent when opened, unlike a Velcro type ,which is found on so many of our articles.
For the hunter that likes simplicity and affordability this is a reliable and accurate rangefinder. Operation is silent and fast. The no glare camo finish is an added feature that I also liked. Focusing on target bags and 3D targets in the wooded raven was quick and easy, with accurate readings every time.
I recommend the "RANGING # 75" optical rangefinder for any bowhunter that wants to remove the guess work from his sport.
All targets here were easily and acurately ranged with the "RANGING # 75 RANGEFINDER"
