The performance of these bows is fast becoming a legend .We often hear that fast bows don't shoot well .The ACS bows are an exception to this. They have a beautifully smooth draw and are as accurate as any bow that I have shot. They do not have hand shock, vibrations , and they are as quiet as any bow can be. The one piece ACS-CX is a delight to carry, weighing a mere 16 ounces. The Riser is black Phenolic with Glass and Bubinga accents and overlays, it is quite striking .The workmanship is flawless.

Although this bow is very capable of shooting light arrows at tremendous speeds I personally prefer a heavier arrow for hunting. My choice is a Carbon arrow with a lot of front weight. 100 grain brass insert, 100 grain steel broadhead adapter and a 175 grain 2 blade Tusker "Aztec" broadhead for a total weight of 636 grains. This may seem like a lot of arrow for a 50# bow drawn to 48# at my 27"draw, but the performance of the CX easily handles these arrows.

I practice out to 40 yards with this setup and it is as flat shooting as many 60# bows I have shot .Performance does not have to be taken in speed alone, I find it best taken with heavy arrows to increase the KE/Momentum categories. There is no need to struggle with heavy draw weight when a CX can deliver the same arrow as fast or faster  at 10# less draw weight than my 60# recurve will .That’s Performance !

The first ACS I had was astounding, and I can now say that the CX is a whole lot better. I do not pamper my bows , and the CX is not an exception to this .I have toted it thru a week of rain and mud, swamps and brambles that the rabbits would not go thru. All fall it has been traveling in some of the worst terrain and weather  a bow hunter can get himself into .Without question this bow is made to hunt. Next summer It will be at the local 3D scene , where I hope I can demonstrate just how well it shoots with some light weight 3D arrows.

To sum up my feelings I can only say the bow is outstanding in every way .Normally I have some constructive criticism at this point but for the life of me I would change nothing but the string color. The bow comes with Silencers and Velcro shelf/plate padding and a nock point installed. It is ready to shoot the minute you string it up .Every ACS bow also comes with a Bow stringer.

I prefer a longer brace height than recommended by most bowyers so that I do not need an armguard to keep the string from slapping my sleeves. This costs me a few FPS but the CX has plenty to spare .The chart below will show you what I mean. Testing was not at the minimum 6 1/2"brace height .It was done at 7 3/4" with Beaver Ball silencers, brass nock point  and a gloved finger release.

The numbers speak for themselves .All tests were done with a fresh Battery, at one session.
