All Bodnik bows now have a 30 year warranty!!!
This warranty is good for all subsequent owners of the bow, not just the original purchaser.
"Our guarantee applies to 100% on the bow because our quality has nothing to do with the owner of the bow. Our guarantee also applies to subsequent owners of Bodnik Bows and does not lose its validity for a full 30 years. The choice of material and the weight of the used arrows do not limit our guarantee."

The Blackfoot Longbow started it's life as a Sioux youth Longbow by Bodnik Bows. When I asked Henry Bodnik if the Sioux could be made in hunting weight the answer was "certainly we can". This was the beginning of the Blackfoots's life. I like the Sioux a lot, however for hunting in the pop up blinds that have a black interior I prefer a black bow to help disappear into the blinds darkness . Naturally I asked if we could have a Sioux made with black glass instead of the clear glass and pretty veneers on the Sioux, and if I could have it made with a solid phenolic riser.
To my surprise Henry bought into the idea of making up this special little bow to be used in our blinds. With his input we ended up with bamboo limbs and a carbon "stabil-core" core for added stability. I eagerly awaited the first run of the Black Sioux bows, and was given the honor of choosing a special name for it. The Blackfoot was born. Keeping with the "Sioux" tribal theme of the Blackfoot's roots I thought of the Blackfoot tribe from the Calgary Alberta area . The Blackfoot was created and has become a popular bow with those of us that have one. I expect to see it's popularity grow as the hunters learn about it and try it.
It has a very nice draw and after the shot it is quite well mannered in the hand . It is silent, shock free and quite a good looking bow .From my point of view it is a perfect hunting bow for blinds, and close quarters. The Blackfoot has a typical bamboo limb feel when you draw it, and it is well suited for those with a draw length of 29" or less.I have had people draw it to a full 30" and their comments were that it it felt very good, and they liked the way it shoots. This surprised me , and I still think that 29" is it's limit, however the 30" shooters seem to think differently.Generally my comments on the original Sioux still apply to the Blackfoot, however the bamboo and stabil-core do enhance its shooting characteristics some what and the phenolic riser adds a bit of weight along with a lot of extra strength. I have never seen a phenolic riser crack or break.
Without question the Blackfoot will be having a lot of time in the woods this fall as I pursue the Deer, Elk and Moose that often seem to elude me.The Blackfoot was built with hunting first and foremost in it's pedigree. It has been created to fit in the cramped spaces I hunt in, whether it is in a blind, or thick bush and tall grass and brambles. The Blackfoot is a special purpose bow made for my style of hunting, yet somehow it has ended up with very good looks for being so plain. It can be shot with a brace from 6 1/2" to 7 1/4" and deliver a quiet vibration and shock free shot.
All arrows were shot from a static release, by hand at the same session. Actual draw lengths are confirmed / coached by Pat my wife. I use a constant power supply, and a light kit on the chronograph.
Every bow in all of my reviews are set up to be hunting quiet, with minimal vibrations, shock etc.
They are not set up for the fastest speed possible, and I am not shooting light weight arrows. Chronographing was done at 6 3/4" brace height .
