All Bodnick bows now have a 30 year warranty!!!
This warranty is good for all subsequent owners of the bow, not just the original purchaser.
"Our guarantee applies to 100% on the bow because our quality has nothing to do with the owner of the bow. Our guarantee also applies to subsequent owners of Bodnik Bows and does not lose its validity for a full 30 years. The choice of material and the weight of the used arrows do not limit our guarantee."

Review
The Sioux longbow is a Youth/ ladies bow with a lot of eye appeal to many.It certainly caught my eye, and I like it. This little gem will easily handle draw length's up to 28" and it is a pleasure to shoot. It has a slightly reflexed limb and a slightly deflexed handle, that makes for a quiet, vibration free and shock free bow. I even used it at a recent Bow Bird shooting night and loved the way it comes up and shoots .It handled the Flu Flu arrows meant for my 50# bows very well , and even hit a few flying targets for me. Pushing it's draw lenght limits it still is very quiet, actualy it is silent, and completely shock and vibration free.
Frequently with a youth bow we see rather shoddy workmanship, and hap hazzard finish etc. The Sioux is far from this. It has perfectly clear glass, and the fit and finish is without any flaws. The nut riser and cherry limbs give it a very nice look. The handle is small, and will be great for those that have small hands, like most youth and Ladies, however I also have a fondness for a small grip and like the way it settles into my hand very much. The Sioux is measured at 24", not the normal 28" for an adults bow. Keep this in mind when ordering. This 30# bow comes in at just under 40@ at 28". It is also available by special order in hunting weights, for those of us that want a short light weight bow and have a draw length of 28" or less. A hunting weight Sioux is being made as I type this.I will update the review when it gets here, and with luck I will harvest some game with it.
The white spots showing on the limbs here are from the sun shining thru the leaves. The limbs are fine, and do not have big white patches.
This is one of the bows that has not received any negative feedback, from those shooting it. kids love it, and the Ladies certainly thought it was good.The very light physical weight, and small handle size make this a seriuos shooting bow that does not over power the small frame shooter with bulk, and mass weight. This Sioux weighs 13.7 ounces.
Considering that the Sioux has a 30 year warranty, it is a remarkable little bow. That is not a miss print, the warranty is thirty years, and it is transferable . It can be a good little bow for your wife or kids, and passed along to second and third generations and still have warranty. It doesn't get any better than that. Another nice thing is the Sioux like all Bearpaw bows comes with a modern Bearpaw "Whisper string" , not Dacron.The tips are reinforced with Phenolic, so we don't need to worry about failures. The bow also comes with a stick on leather shelf, and plate material and a string nock. The only thing you will possible need are silencers if you choose to use them.
All arrows were shot from a static release, by hand at the same session. Actual draw lengths are confirmed / coached by Pat my wife. I use a constant power supply, and a light kit on the chronograph. Every bow in all of my reviews are set up to be hunting quiet, with minimal vibrations, shock etc. They are not set up for the fastest speed possible.Because the Sioux is a light draw weight bow I have only used 1 arrow weight to test it at this time .I will update this when I receive the Hunting weight Sioux. |

To say I am impressed with the Sioux is an understatement. I am impressed enough that I purchased special order a Sioux in hunting weight to use in the pop up blinds this fall. I need more bows like a hole in the head, however this little bow is just to nice to not have one to hunt with. beside that, how cool will it be to take my Grand Childern shooting with an identical bow to the one Grampy is shooting ! {I wish they would grow faster so they can pack out a Moose for Grampy.}
