Wolverine Boulder Review

  I was unable to review the Boulders myself because I ordered a size to small for some reason. Fortunately my hunting partner and friend Dennis volunteered to help me out as the boots fit him perfectly. Dennis has helped me with several other reviews in the past, and I trust his review to be fair and honest.

I received these Wolverine Boulder boots early this fall to put through their paces and see what they are made of!! They are a waterproof hunting boot with full grain leather and a 1000 denier nylon upper that sheds water and all kinds of stuff  that the outdoors throws at you. I wore them in the hot September weather this year  that was uncommon for that time of year and found them to be very comfortable and light at the same time…my feet seemed to breathe very well in these boots…the specs say that they have a “ Goretex waterproof breathable membrane lining” and it certainly worked for me as my feet stayed dry all the time that I wore the boots.

During the latter part of the fall, we received an early wet snowfall…wet stuff that normally would soak a lot of my boots. These boots withstood the wet snow for two days in a row without leaving my feet wet…with the removable full cushion footbed, I found it very easy to ensure I had dry feet to start the next day by taking the footbed out and letting them air dry.

I put a lot of miles on these boots this past fall and my feet never got sore, walking through swamps and snow and up and down some brutal terrain, they never let me down. They do not have a really aggressive tread on the bottom and I found this to be a bonus during the long days in the early fall.
