"Wolverine Ridgeline Extreme Mocs"

W05547 - Ridgeline Xtreme-Wolverine® Non-Insulated Waterproof Moc

Waterproof nubuck leather and Cordura® upper. Removable full-cushion insole. Compression molded EVA foam midsole with camo wrap. Lightweight nylon shank fights fatigue. Cement construction and a rubber lug outsole make the Ridgeline a durable and capable waterproof moc.

I have worn the Ridgeline Extreme Mocs for about 2 months now and I am totaly satisfied with them. They are a slip on that does not slide on your foot, and they give good traction in the bush. The comfort of these is far better than I expected. In fact on a recent holiday I wore them on the 9 hour flight to New Brunswick and back. During my stay I wore them on woods walks, fishing and for every day shoes. They clean up beautifuly even after being thru mud and moose trails, or sitting in a leaky boat trout fishing all day.

Ridgeline Extreem Moc's and Hybrid Cargo Shorts

I did find that these Moc's were a bit awkward / stiff to put on at first. The elastic at the top is snug, however it soon loosened a bit to fit my ankle and foot size.
A feature I do apreciate as you can see in the photo above is the way the soles bend when kneeling or squatting. There is nothing worse in a shoe than a stiff sole that will not bend when needed. For me it means shooting from an uncomfortable position and that will not do.

As summer wears on into early fall the Moc's will see a lot of use. At the 3D shoots on fair weather days they will be good, and in the evenings around camp they will be the logical choice. Often in early fall we find ourselves  with mild weather and easy going thru the woods. I do plan to put the Moc's to use on these hunts as well as around camp. They will not replace a hunting boot, however on many short hunts we do not need a boot, and the hot feet it produces.A light and cool shoe like the Ridgeline Extreme Moc will be a good choice for an easy day out.
