Review
For those of us that take a seat with us hunting , fishing etc. the Git-R-Done seat is one you should try.
It is light weight, folds easy, carries on your belt and does not need even ground to use.The seat is made from strong nylon that should last for years with normal use. There is no assembly needed, just slide the seat up the leg and push it onto its post. I hunt a lot from blinds and this is when I use a seat most often. To find ground that is level and still a good place to set up is always a problem. With a 1 leg seat the ground surface does not matter as it is always able to be used, unlike the 3 and 4 leg models.
The Git-R-Done seat also has a spike on the base that sticks into the ground to prevent slipping and to hold the seat upright when we stand to stretch our legs. or to move to a better position for the shot. This eliminates the noise that spooks game when a chair is knocked over by a hunter moving into a better position. The Git-R-Done seat stands upright on its peg when we get up.
On marshy ground the base can sink in so all that is needed is a small forked branch to place under the leg to keep it from sinking. There is always a branch available in the woods.
These are not lounge chairs, they are a portable seat that is excellent in blinds. Because you can get up and not make noise they are well suited to blind hunting, as movement is not an issue. Noise is an issue ,and these seats allow us to silently move, or stretch our legs.
By setting it up at the base of a tree you have a back rest for those situations where we make a blind from natural materials we find near trails. This makes it much easier than having to kneel all day, or build a blind that covers a standing man. Stumps / logs for seats are not always available where we want to set up.
I will have a Git-R-Done seat packed in my blind bags ready for fall and plan to spend a lot of time on it. If you hunt with 2 people in your blind you know how much precious floor space is used up with folding chairs. These seats take very little space and make it easy to store our packs without having them tangled up in seat legs and producing that metalic noise when we try to move.
This economy seat is worth trying, and I think you will like it.
